Natural Vegetable Company

The Natural Vegetable Co is located on the southern edge of Inverness. We are currently in our sixth growing season and supply organic produce as part of a vegetable box scheme, as well as to the wholesale market.

We are a Soil Association registered organic producer committed to natural horticultural production.

Our aim is to produce a complete range of seasonal produce direct from the field to the customer. While most organic produce is brought into the region, our aim is to supply only Highland produce of the highest quality.

What produce can we grow in the Highlands throughout the year?

Each season brings a natural range of varieties. We aim to vary the range and choice to reflect what is available at the time. We will supply for at least nine months of the year, spring being the challenge. Summer will favour salad crops: tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, etc, while winter will provide root crops, winter greens; potatoes, leeks, salad bags, etc.

How does the box scheme work?

We supply a large or small box, on a Thursday, weekly or fortnightly, and you return your collapsible box when your new one is delivered. Small boxes typically contain 7-9 varieties and a large box contains larger quantities and up to 12 varieties.

If you are going away or have guests you can cancel or increase your order by midday Tuesday, by phone or email. We invoice monthly by email or through your box, and payments can be made by cheque or online.

We aim to target delivery points such as office drops (wherever possible), but home delivery can also be arranged. Delivery is only in the Inverness area.

You are welcome to visit our premises by arrangement.
